Current and historical, printed and digital Newspapers and Magazines

The current issues of the print subscriptions can be found in the reading rooms. Furthermore, the University Library has an extensive collection of historical newspapers published in Heidelberg and the surrounding area. Many titles are now available digitally.

Newspapers are also listed in the Library Catalogue of Heidelberg University. Use the advanced search in the search category "title (keywords)", then restrict your search to “newspapers”.

International, national and regional newspapers (e.g. Frankfurter Rundschau, Berliner Zeitung, Hamburger Abendblatt, International New York Times, The Guardian, The Independent), press services and news agencies can be accessed via the Nexis database licensed by the University Library.
