Anatomic teaching models

Our branch library offers you a collection of anatomic teaching models. These are important for your studies as well the preparation for medical exams. There are over 300 different models (mostly SOMSO-models), plastinated specimen and x-rays to choose from and 600 items altogether are available for use.

Potential users?

Our anatomic models are available to all university library users. There are of special importance to medical students.

Using the models

The models can may be borrowed for one day only and used within the premises of the information centre and reading room of the library. They are presented in glass cases on the ground floor of the library in the information centre. They can be chosen directly. Reservations are not possible. Cooperation with the Institut für Anatomie und Zellbiologie

The collection of anatomic teaching models are the property of the Institut für Anatomie und Zellbiologie, University Heidelberg. It is kept on our premises and made available through the branch library Neuenheim.
