Abstract
In diesem Beitrag sollen das Konzept der ‹Zivilisation› und, damit zusammenhängend, das der ‹Kultur› im nationalistischen Diskurs im ersten Viertel des 20. Jahrhunderts anhand ausgewählter Texte von Houston Stewart Chamberlain, Oswald Spengler und Thomas Mann diskurslexikographisch analysiert werden. Dabei wird die Frage im Vordergrund stehen, wie die jeweils spezifische Autor- bzw. Textsemantik in eine diskurssemantische Beschreibung überführt werden kann.
