8.7.2025 New! heiSKILLS Writing Consultations – Now at the University Library (UB)
Need help with your writing process? Whether you're just getting started or refining a draft, the Department for Teaching and Learning at the heiSKILLS Competence and Language Centre is now offering one-on-one writing consultations in English, available once a week at the university library. Our 30-minute sessions with experienced writing consultants are open to students from all disciplines and levels—undergraduate to PhD. Join us during your lunch hour for personalized feedback and individual coaching.
Our focus is on supporting your writing process: organizing ideas, developing arguments, overcoming writer’s block, juggling different academic conventions, writing in another language, and more. This is not an editing service, but a chance to strengthen your skills and confidence as a writer in English. You can bring a draft of your paper, an outline, or a list of ideas, but a text is not a mandatory requirement for participation. We will analyze your current situation and try out writing methods that help you plan the next steps and optimize a text, your writing process, and your organizational skills.
Consultations are offered weekly on Thursdays from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. You can sign up in advance via the attached link to reserve a time, or simply drop in during the session window.
