Nabyabharat (Calcutta, 1883-1925)

Printed by Bhubanmohan Ghosh, 210/1 Cornwallis Street, Calcutta. A major periodical on religion, philosophy, science, education and literature which continued for forty-three years. Its main interests were the religions of India, the ancient history of India, and modern science, technology and medicine. It published articles on demography, economic issues and physical and social anthropology, raised debates on gender issues, women's education, modern European social and political philosophy and ethics.
