Abstract

Die vorliegende vergleichende Untersuchung der Diminution im Deutschen und im Arabischen hat das Ziel, eine Übersicht über die in diesem Bereich vorhandenen Mittel, Auskunft über Präferenzen ihrer Nutzung zu geben und die Funktionen dieser Mittel, die über das reine formale Merkmal der "Kleinheit" hinausgehen, exemplarisch aufzuzeigen. Da im Zentrum der Arbeit das Deutsche steht – wenn auch aus einem arabischen Blickwinkel gesehen – ist die Darstellungstiefe für das Deutsche tiefer als für das Arabische, welches in gewissem Maße den Hintergrund für die Darstellung bietet, wobei man ohne Zweifel auch auf die grundlegenden typologischen Unterschiede zwischen beiden Sprachen achten sollte. Bei der vorliegenden Arbeit handelt es sich nicht um eine typologisch-vergleichende Studie, vielmehr könnte man sie mit der folgenden Definition von Konnerth der angewandten konfrontativen Grammatik zuordnen: „Ein Grenzgebiet zwischen reiner typologisch-vergleichender Sprachwissenschaft und angewandter Sprachwissenschaft ist die angewandte konfrontative Grammatik. Diese geht vom Zustand der sprachlichen Information in Bezug auf den Lernenden aus und untersucht fremdsprachliche Informationen, die den muttersprachlichen Nullwert (der Informationen) grundsätzlich überschreiten, und solche, die infolge der Übereinstimmung zwischen der Fremd- und Muttersprache identische Null-bit-lnformationen darstellen“ (Konnerth 1984: 17).

Translation of abstract (English)

This comparative study of the diminution in German and in Arabic has the goal of a survey of the type in this area on existing resources, information about the preferences of their use and the functions of these funds, which go beyond the purely formal feature of "smallness" examples demonstrate. Since the center of the work, the German stands - seen though from an Arab perspective - the representation of depth for the German is deeper than the Arabian, which has to some extent, the background for the presentation, with one no doubt on the fundamental typological differences should take between two languages. In the present work is not a typological-comparative study, but they could be using the following definition of Konnerth associate of applied confrontational grammar: "The border area between pure typological-comparative linguistics and applied linguistics is applied confrontational grammar. This is the state of linguistic information in respect of the learners and examined foreign language information in excess of the mother tongue is zero (the information) in principle, and those that represent the result of agreement between the foreign and native language identical zero-bit-lnformation" (Konno 1984: 17).
