Main library, Old City (downtown Heidelberg, Plöck 107-109):
Bus # 30, 31, 32 and 33 to 'Peterskirche'

Neuenheim Branch Library (INF 368):
Bus # 31, 32 to 'Kopfklinik'

Arrival by car

1. Main library, Old City (Plöck 107-109):

• From the North/West (Autobahn 656):
  1. Take exit marked Zentrum/Schloß,
  2. head towards Schloß (Castle).
  3. Continue in this direction heading for a tunnel.
  4. Pass the tunnel. Stay on this road.
  5. In front of the second tunnel get into the left-hand lane, following signs to Parkhaus (car park) 11.
• From the South (Autobahn 5):
  1. Take exit Heidelberg/Schwetzingen.
  2. Follow the highway to Heidelberg.
  3. Additional direction as listed above.
• From the East (Neckar River):
  1. Turn left at Karlstor, following signs to Parkhaus 11/Zentrum (downtown).
  2. Turn right after leaving the tunnel, following signs to Parkhaus 11.

We recommend car park 11 (Parkhaus 11, underground car park).It is located next to the main library building in the downtown area. Parking in the neighbouring residential areas is difficult because parking spaces are reserved for residents.

2. Neuenheim Branch Library (INF 368):

Coming from Autobahnkreuz Heidelberg:

1. head towards Eberbach/Neckargemünd. Turn left following signs to Chirugie (surgery department). Pass on on Berliner Straße
2. After crossing the river, turn left at the third traffic light, following signs to Neuenheimer Feld/Zoo.
3. Follow this road to the Kopfklinik (Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital), where there is ample parking space.
