Arriving by bus

Bus # 31, 32 to 'Universitätsplatz' and 33 in the direction of Ziegelhausen/Köpfel to 'Peterskirche'. Please consult the VRN time table (local and regional public transport).

Arriving by car

From the North/West (A 656): Take exit marked Zentrum/Schloß, head towards Schloß (Castle). Continue on this street, pass through the tunnel, before the the second tunnel get into the left-hand lane and follow the sign to Parkhaus Nr. 11 (car park) .
From the South (A 5): Take exit Heidelberg/Schwetzingen, follow the highway to Heidelberg, then continue as given above.
From the East (along Neckar River): Turn left at Karlstor, following signs to Parkhaus 11 / Zentrum (downtown). Turn right after leaving the tunnel, following signs to Parkhaus 11.

We recommend car park 11 (Parkhaus 11 / Universitätsbibliothek, underground car park, max. height 1.80 m, 185 parking spaces).It is located next to the main library building in the downtown area. Parking in the neighbouring residential areas is difficult because parking spaces are reserved for residents.

Stop ‚Jahnstrasse‘: To change here for bus no. 32 please walk on Jahnstrasse into Neuenheimer Feld. The bus stop is located on the right hand side. For bus stop ‘Technologiepark’ change to buses 31 and 37 at the same stop.

Bus stop ‚Kopfklinik‘: Directly in front of the Kopfklinik main entrance. The branch library is located on the left hand side of the Kopfklinik building and two buildings behind the nearest car park marked P7.

Arriving by car

Arriving on the A5 change at Autobahnkreuz Heidelberg on to A656 toward Heidelberg. Arriving on the A6 change at Kreuz Mannheim on to A656 toward Heidelberg. At the end of the highway turn left towards Neuenheim/Universitätsklinikum and after 100 m turn right on to Vangerowstrasse. Follow Vangerowstrasse for 350 m (road takes a slight left turn) along the river. Go underneath the bridge (Ernst-Walz-Brücke) und immediately turn right on to the bridge. You are crossing the Neckar and arrive at Berliner Strasse. Campus Neuenheimer Feld is to your left.
Coming from the highway from the south follow Berliner Strasse to tram stop ‘Technologiepark’ and turn left. Coming from the north turn right on to street Im Neuenheimer Feld. After ca. 700 m (directly after the second set of traffic lights) you will find the Kopfklinik left side (address INF 400). The branch library is on the left hand side of the Kopfklinik building and two buildings behind the nearest car park marked P7.

Chargeable parking space is available nearby.
